The Super Bowl is one of the most-watched events in North America. That’s why many companies pay a fortune to showcase their new products during the event. American automaker RAM took advantage of this opportunity to unveil the latest addition to its lineup: the Ramcharger.

As expected, the manufacturer presented its RAM lineup with a spectacular yet exaggerated advertisement featuring the HD model, the RHO version, and the highly anticipated Ramcharger. The first thing to know about this new truck is that it’s a plug-in hybrid pickup. Unlike Ford and General Motors, RAM has chosen this type of electrification first, rather than introducing a fully electric model.

Coming Soon to Dealerships
Although no specific release date has been mentioned, the Ramcharger is expected to arrive in dealerships in the first half of 2025. This means it will hit the market before the all-electric RAM REV, despite previous plans suggesting the opposite.

The 2025 Ramcharger is particularly interesting from a mechanical standpoint, as it combines a 3.6-liter V6 engine with electric motors. However, the gasoline engine is only used as a generator.

The truck delivers a total output of over 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4.5 seconds. It is equipped with a 92 kWh battery, which can be recharged. According to the manufacturer, this pickup can travel more than 1,000 kilometers on a full charge.

As if that weren’t enough, the 2025 Ramcharger boasts a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 2,625 pounds—impressive figures, especially for a truck of this size.

RAM has yet to reveal the price range for the 2025 Ramcharger. Needless to say, this is a highly anticipated model that is expected to be a huge success when it hits the market.
